Switch Beach Club @ Encore - Awarded to Water FX by Penta Building Group
We at Water FX, have been awarded the contract to construct the pools, spas and water features for the Switch Beach Club @ Encore by Penta Building Group.  This project is scheduled to be complete by mid-year 2010.  With construction slowing, we are extremely appreciative of this award.  We look forward to commencing work onsite in early 2010.

Mandarin Oriental Day Spa @ CityCenter is Complete
The Mandarin Oriental Day Spa is now open for operation.  There are many parties who we would like to thank including Sean O'Connor of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Jennifer Lynn of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Ryan Weingartner of Perini Building Company and Carolyn Ament of Tihany Design Group among many others for their open lines of communication and coordination to make this intricate project come together.  This is the signature day spa project for Water FX and we are extremely proud of the final product.  We look forward to expanding our portfolio in the day spa industry.

Aria Day Spa @ CityCenter is Complete
We are pleased to announce that our contract has been completed at the Aria Resort & Casino Day Spa at CityCenter.  We successfully constructed 7 spas, 1 terrace pool and 9 water features within this large Day Spa.  The water features incorporated large amounts of stone including Aji Stone imported from Japan along with cast glass bricks and an abundance of custom acrylic panels.  This was another project completed for Perini Building Company and MGM Design Group.  We would like to thank them for having confidence in our firm to complete this scope of work.  Again, we couldn't have done this without the help of our subcontractors.

Casino Square Fountain is Complete
Our contract to install the Casino Square Fountain has been completed.  This 1200 SF reflecting pond is located just East of the entrance to the Crystals Mall off of Casino Drive.  We would like to recognize and thank Perini Building Company and Robert Paxson for a well run project.  We would also like to send out our sincere appreciation to our subcontractors and suppliers who helped make this run smoothly and efficiently.

Aveda Spa @ Primm Valley Resort is Complete
We have completed the design and construction of 3 spas and 1 cold plunge within the newly opened Aveda Spa @ Primm Valley Resort.  We would like to extend a thank you to Herbst Gaming and Michael Starr for awarding our firm this project and we hope that the Aveda Spa is a resounding success.  Thank you to all of our subcontractors and suppliers for another successful project.

Bulgari Water Feature - Awarded to WFX
We have been awarded a contract from Shawmut Construction for the installation of a water feature within the Bulgari Jewelry Store.  Bulgari is located within the Crystals Mall at CityCenter.  The project is expected to be complete by the end of November.  This is our fourth contract on CityCenter.

Work Progresses @ CityCenter
Work is progressing at CityCenter for all three of our projects. We expect to be making some major headway in the coming months as all projects are scheduled to be completed late this Summer. Most of the water features for the Aria Spa are onsite as well as the treatment rooms for Mandarin. The Casino Square fountain will be arriving in the near future.

Fontainebleau Loses Financing
8 major banks who were all involved in providing the final piece to the financing puzzle at Fontainebleau have pulled their financing. This news comes as a big blow to the Las Vegas economy at the most inopportune time. We hope to see a resolution to this problem in the near future so that we may complete our work on this signature project. More updates to follow as news becomes available.

Bordertown Casino - Seneca, MO
Water FX was awarded a water feature for the Bordertown Casino in Seneca, MO by Midtown Commerical. The Bordertown Casino is owned and operated by the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma. The water feature has been installed and is awaiting ownership training and final commissioning. Photos to follow soon.

Completion of Encore Day Spa
Water FX has completed the installation of 2 saunas, 2 steam rooms, 2 rain chain water features and the electrical scope for 10 experience showers for Tutor-Saliba at Encore. this project was succussefully completed at the end of 2008. A thank you goes out to Tutor Saliba and all of our subcontractors for helping to make this a successful project. Photos have been posted in our portfolio gallery.

Completion of Tahiti Village Lazy River
Water FX completed the lazy river at Tahiti Village on South Las Vegas Boulevard. This was the second phase of construction that was performed by Water FX for Tahiti Village. See the portfolio for final pictures. Thank you to all of our subs for another successful project.

Day Spa @ Primm Valley Resort
Water FX is awarded the Day Spa @ Primm Valley Resort by Herbst Gaming. This project consists of constructing 3 spas and 1 cold plunge. This is a design-build project where Water FX will be responsible for all drawings, engineering and permitting. The project is expected to be completed in the Spring of 2009.

Block A Day Spa @ CityCenter
WFX is awarded the Block A Day Spa @ CityCenter by Perini Building Company. This project consists of 7 shotcrete spas, an outdoor terrace pool and 9 water features. The main water feature encompasses waterwalls, reflection pools, glowing glass cubes and Aji stones from Japan. The estimated completion date is Spring 2009. This will be our third project for Perini at CityCenter.

Caesars Forum Tower Penthouse Renovation
WFX completes the Caesars Forum Tower Penthouse Renovation project. The spas and interior water features have been completed. A big “Thank You” goes out to all of our subcontractors as well as the awarding General Contractor, Penta Building Group, for making this a successful project.

Tahiti Lazy River
WFX continues on the construction of the lazy river located at Tahiti Village in Las Vegas, NV. The lazy river consists of a large waterfall along with other water features designed to increase the enjoyment for all riders. Landaco, the hired landscape firm for this project, was forced to close their doors. As a result, WFX has brought Park West Landscaping on board to help finish the project which is scheduled to be completed later this year.

Casino Square Fountain @ CityCenter
WFX is awarded the Casino Square Fountain located at City Center by Perini Building Company. This is the second contract for WFX on this mammoth sized project – the first being the Mandarin Day Spa. The fountain consists of a half circle with approx 100’ of infinity edge. The basin will be manufactured out of stainless steel by Bradford Products. The bid packages continue to flow from this $11+ billion dollar project located on the strip just south of the Bellagio.

WFX Racing @ Chula Vista
WFX Racing finishes 6th at Chula Vista. Tim Pangborn, owner of Water FX, took 6th place in the single buggy class of the Championship Off Road Racing (CORR) series in Chula Vista, California. This finish helped to bump Tim to 8th place in the overall points standings in his first season of racing. John Fitzgerald who drives the Water FX Pro-Lite Truck had another disappointing weekend as the truck’s engine faltered prior to racing. His season has been full of mechanical failures. The next race is scheduled for October 25th & 26th in Primm, NV.

Fontainebleau Pool Deck
WFX installs the first of 8 pools and spas on the Fontainebleau project. The 17,000+ sq ft main pool is tentatively scheduled to begin arriving onsite in mid December of this year. The project is scheduled to be completed in the Fall of 2009.
